About Me
Marhaba and Ahlan wa sahlan,
My name is Roukaya. I’m an early childhood teacher with over ten years of experience, as well as a children’s curriculum planner and Arabic content creator. I was born in Algeria and raised in Syria—two cultures that shaped my deep appreciation for language, identity, and early learning. Over the years, I’ve come to see myself as a language advocate, passionate about empowering children and families through meaningful Arabic learning experiences. I truly believe that through education we can build a better society, and a stronger, more connected Ummah.
Becoming a mother strengthened this mission. From the moment my daughter was born, I made a conscious decision to speak to her in Arabic Fus’ha, embracing its rich vocabulary and sophistication. As I homeschooled my children from a very young age—reading Arabic stories, singing rhymes, and creating daily language routines—I began searching for an Arabic playgroup where families could come together to share songs, stories, and culture.
What I found instead was a major gap: a lack of Arabic playgroups, resources, and early-learning opportunities for preschoolers. That realization inspired me to create this project. My goal is to support families, build community, and make quality Arabic language experiences accessible, joyful, and meaningful for young children

Parents Love Early Arabic Language

I want to thank you for the wonderful Arabic Class and Party. This was our second class and I noticed my son picking up on words and having an understanding that we speak Arabic here. It makes a difference to fully immerse the kids in an Arabic environment the way you communicate only in Arabic to them encourages then to respond in Arabic and not English.

She has been so enthusiastic about Arabic and has been practicing writing her name at home. It’s also a good way for us mums to hold ourselves accountable when teaching Arabic at home. I feel more motivated to speak Arabic and teach her. We have also switched our streaming service to Arabic only to encourage the kids to learn more.
